Comments: Matias is an award-winning ABS Journeyman Smith. In fact, at the 2025 Blade Show, he was awarded the Dr. James Lucie Award. This is given to the knife maker who submitted the best knife for Journeyman Smith Judging. In 2026, he won 3 Awards at the Blade Show: Best Custom Bowie, Best Custom Fighter, and Best of Show. He also won two awards from the US Knifemakers Guild. This lightweight hunting knife has great balance, and a flared end of the handle. This helps you gain excellent control of the blade. I started working with Matias 5 years ago. I’m happy to see the rest of the Custom Knife World has acknowledged his talent.
