Comments: Great knife for a day hike. Comes with excellent serrations on top to help create kindling. You can remove the scales with the Allen wrench tucked into the back of the sheath. The hollowed-out frame has a compass, snare wire, leader, a Royal Coachman fly, hooks, and sinkers. Tucked into the back of the sheath is a magnesium fire starter rod to ignite the kindling. Unusual logo, as it shows Timberline Knives and Timberlite. The Timberlite logo was developed for a series of Vaughn’s folders with a patented NeeleyLock mechanism. This is the first time I have seen this logo on a fixed blade. Vaughn was one of the original 3 custom knife makers that comprised Timberline Knives. The knife was made on August 08, 2008, and has serial number #034.
