Comments: Smooth opening, excellent lock-up. While the term “Sole Authorship” was not coined by Harvey, he was the epitome of it. Harvey, along with Dick Dorough and W.T. Fuller, developed the front-locking folder mechanism. Harvey not only made his knives, but he also did the engraving and file work on them. Doing so gave his knives a unique look; when you saw one, you knew immediately it was a McBurnette. In addition to the engraving and frame file work, the top of the blade has some file work, and the backstrap is completely file-worked. Harvey passed away in 1997.
