Handle Material: Green cord wrap over aluminum tube. Aluminum butt cap with a compass mounted inside the cap.
Sheath: Custom-made leather sheath by the maker.
Comments: This knife was made in the mid 1980s. It is double-edged with hand-cut serrations on the top edge. This knife has an excellent balance for such a large knife. Ive seen a few of Gil’s hollow handle knives with fighter blades, but this is the first one I have seen with a tanto-style blade. Gil is probably best known for his Rambo knives; he was also a former President of the US Knifemakers Guild and is a Blade Magazine Cutlery Hall of Fame member.
