“One Man’s Blade Show Master Plan”
With the Blade Show postponed to August 7-9, 2020 you have time to plan. Les has provided helpful tips in the current issue (June) of Blade Magazine starting on page 109.
He discusses how to make the most of your time and money at one of the largest (if not the largest) custom knife show – The Blade Show in Atlanta, GA.
First, preview the exhibitors list, before the show. Know, whose work you want to see and where their tables are located. Become familiar with the floor map (this year will be different than previous years.) Before you get to the show, research knives and the makers you like. Compare them to other similar knives; materials, price, reputation.
Be sure to meet the legends. Wear comfortable shoes and take notes as to where the knives you are interested in are located as you go. It is easy to get turned around. Most of all, enjoy yourself!
