Comments: Timberline was started in 1982 by Jim Hardenbrook and Vaughn Neely. Bill Sanders joined the duo later that year. The SA Survival Knife was designed by Jim. The knife won the Blade Magazine’s American Made Knife of the Year Award in 1983. This well thought out knife incorporates several survival features. The serrations can cut through a 2 X 4 in 30 seconds. The guard features double thong holes. In addition to providing the knife with the ability to allow the user to maintain control of the knife with a thong. The cord-wrapped handle gives the user cordage to latch and/or tie things. The knurled design of the butt cap gives you complete control of the cap, no matter the element you are working in.
