Comments: In 1984, I bought my first custom knife. It was a Robert Parrish Hollow Handle Survival knife. I used this knife while serving as a Infantry Rifle Platoon Leader in the 101st Airborne. During that year, I was in the field or deployed for 7 of those 12 months. This knife performed better than I could have hoped for. The serrations on this knife are the best that have ever been put on a custom knife, bar none. They cut on the push and the pull. I used mine to cut sheet metal. The serial number reads 1288699. This is the 699th 8″ RP Survivor, made in December (12) 1988 (88). Robert’s knives are some of the most collectible tactical fixed blade knives in the world!
